04.15 IAM [International Arts Movement] Review
IAM was founded in NYC by Makoto Fujimura with the vision to inspire artists and creative catalysts to engage the culture that is, and create the world that ought to be. Andrew and Jessica Watkins recently attended the 2007 IAM Conference and will share about the conference, IAM the organization, and several of the past IAM productions. We will utilize several of the video recordings that IAM has produced to learn more about IAM’s vision and how it can encourage us as artists.

Join us for a discussion on Advent - it’s history, symbology, and artistic tradition. After discussing, there will be time to reflect and create in response. Join us for a discussion about our freedom in Christ, the freedom that we feel in art, and how we can combine these to worship together in church. What inhibits us from doing what our hearts and hands invision? Bring one thing to share that you’ve never done in church but would like to do. Try to bring whatever materials you might use to fully explain your idea.
