Join us for a discussion on Advent - it’s history, symbology, and artistic tradition. After discussing, there will be time to reflect and create in response. Materials will be provided to create advent ornaments - a spin on the advent wreath. If you have any art that you’ve been working on in this season, feel free to bring that to work on as well.

An evening of expressing art as worship. Join us Friday, December 8th from 6:30-8:30 at ROLC and every second Friday of the month after that.

Open Worship/Open Studio is a time for worshiping God through making art. The evening will provide freedom and a conscious focus for people’s art as worship. People of all modalities and stages of spirituality are invited to come and explore how to use art as a form of worship. Please bring supplies, instruments, music or other materials that inspire you to worship in the sanctuary space.

Join us for a discussion about our freedom in Christ, the freedom that we feel in art, and how we can combine these to worship together in church. What inhibits us from doing what our hearts and hands invision? Bring one thing to share that you’ve never done in church but would like to do. Try to bring whatever materials you might use to fully explain your idea.
